My son was married last Friday in Evanston. Green Spoon catered the event. The food and cocktails were incredible! The staff were incredible! It was a small wedding of 75 guests and multiple guests stated it was the best food at a wedding that they have ever had…a culinary experience! There was an abundance of appetizers all beautifully presented, as were the entrees. My steak with Zaatar was perfectly cooked-not overdone which is a feat with so many people. It was all just gorgeous and delicious! I would not hesitate to recommend!

Green Spoon Kitchen catered our wedding and they were outstanding!! Shannon and team were so friendly, organized, and easy to work with. First off, they have an incredible selection of menu options to choose from, but you can’t go wrong with anything! The tasting we had to finalize the menu was a blast and I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so much food in my life – we had leftovers for days! Everything tasted incredible and was presented really well too. We also worked with Green Spoon to select dinging ware and linens which was very straightforward.

Green Spoon nailed the wedding day too. We actually had time to eat and everything tasted just as good as it did at our tasting. And the service from the staff was superior – they were friendly, attentive, and there whenever you were hungry! There was a constant flow of passed appetizers during cocktail hour. Dinner service was great and I saw many empty plates. Dessert was delicious (HIGHLY recommend the cookies and cream tartlets!). A must have for us was a late night snack and the grilled cheese and French fries were a huge hit and the perfect way to wrap up the night.

Catering is a big investment and doesn’t always stand out at weddings but Green Spoon Kitchen is definitely an exception!!

From the start Shannon at Green Spoon was very knowledgeable and communicated with us on the catering of our wedding. We had regular emails and phone calls where we planned the logistics to the food, seating and other aspects of our special day. We were very happy with Green Spoon staff through the whole process. If you are planning a wedding, you can rest assured Green Spoon will make the whole process of Catering stress free and actually enjoyable. Green Spoon Kitchen was incredibly easy to work with. Our tasting was an incredible experience. Shan made us feel very comfortable and welcome throughout. As great as their entrees are, I cannot praise the appetizers enough. We opted for the french onion toast, crabcakes, and chicken sandwich sliders. Honestly the chicken sandwiches are probably the reason I think the appetizers are superior to the entrees. I don’t even like coleslaw, but I was so hungry on my wedding day that I bit into it without wiping it off. Congrats Green Spoon Kitchen, you got me to eat some vegetables! Seriously, get the chicken sandwich sliders!

I should probably also note that GPK is professional and detail-oriented. Individual allergens were accommodated and navigated easily. I have to cut my review off here because I keep thinking of chicken sandwiches and it’s way too early for lunch right now.
